Step 2: The front clamp
The front clips over the main 3D printed frame and holds the nurse call handset securely in place. The handset can them be removed at any time, unaltered and unmodified in any way.
Step 3: Inserting the handset
Insert the handset into cradle.
Step 4: Clipping on the front clamp
This clips on and holds the handset in place securely without damaging it in any way.
Step 5: Insert handset
Make adjustments for front clamp.
Step 6: Side view of hinges
3D printed hinge pins go in through side holes in the top hinged pad that you press, into holes in the main 3D printed frame.
NOTE: At the moment you have to carefully drill out or file out the holes in the main frame that receive these pins.
Step 7: This is how you use it
Press the big chunky lever and the buzzer will go off.
Step 8: 3D files
Please refer to the author’s website to access the 3D files in Google sketchup files and also as .stl files for your printer.
Makerbot Replicator (the original plywood one) was also used in this process.
